Hylton George Holness

Hylton George Holness was a fixture in his community, where his spirit will always live on. He touched the lives of so many people in so many ways, including giving to those who were in need of a bus fare, providing food for the hungry, being an active campaigner for the rights of women, providing parents with monies for educational purposes such as transportation, books, and clothing.  He was also an accomplished union member and a licensed electrical contractor who gave back to his community. In addition, he trained young men to use their intellect and skills to learn the electrical trade. Many of these men mastered the trade and became union electricians, and some also became licensed electrical contractors.
